General Cleaning Checklist

All Rooms:

• Tidying and folding all clothing
• Clean ceiling for cobwebs, including the chandeliers and cornices
• Dust lamps
• Wipe switches
• Wipe clean skirting boards
• Wipe down surfaces
• Wipe down door handles
• Wipe down ledges and blinds
• Wipe down mirrors
• Clean and dry polish radiators
• Empty bins
• Replace bin bags and take rubbish bag out
• Clean outside of bins
• Fold up all electric plugs / cables
• Vacuum floor
• Mop floor
• Tidy away mop/bucket/vacuum
• Clean and polish around and underneath ornaments and put back neatly as found

Kitchen:

• Wash up dirty dishes (maximum of 4) not including pots and pans
• Wipe and dry kitchen counter tops
• Put away cups and crockery
• Wipe cooking hobs and knobs
• Wipe down oven door and handles
• Wipe outside and remove loose food from inside microwave
• Wipe down outside of fridge
• Wipe down small appliances such as toaster / kettle/food bottles as well as underneath
• Wipe sink and taps
• Polish sink and taps
• Wipe down cabinet and handles
• Fold neatly and hang towels
• Wash sink plugs

Main Living Areas:

• Dust/vacuum/wipe down furniture
• Clean dining table
• Clean under sofa
• Dust off sofa pillows
• Fold and hang any throws or blankets
• Wipe down pictures /fireplaces/mirrors
• Neatly tuck in dining table chairs
• Stack shoes tidily
• Tidy scarfs/coats etc
• Vacuum upholstery, cushions (move to clean underneath)

Bathroom and Toilet:

• Wipe inside and polish bath
• Wipe and polish taps
• Wipe shower head and cord
• Polish chrome fittings (such as taps)
• Wipe down mirror
• Clean soap dish
• Clean toothbrush holder
• Clean inside and outside of toilet
• Tidy shower bottles
• Fold Towels neatly
• Wash bathroom and/or shower plug holes
• Wipe bathroom titles

Entrance Hall / Hallway Stairs:

• Vacuum or mop floors
• Dust skirting boards
• Clean and polish mirrors
• Clean ceiling and cornice and ceiling lights
• Vacuum staircase
• Polish handrail and stair poles
• Dust crevices of steps
• Dust shelves
• Wipe and polish ornaments around and underneath

Not covered:

• High-out-of-reach areas;
• Inside wardrobes and cupboards;
• Inside kitchen cabinets/drawers;
• Inside fridge;
• Inside oven;
• Interior windows; and
• Interior doors.
