Due to the nature of cleaning services, there may occasionally be instances where accidental damage occurs.
Maid in the UK Ltd takes all reasonable care in delivering services and will review any reported damage fairly and promptly.
REPORTING DAMAGE
Any damage must be reported within 72 hours of the service being completed.
Reports must include clear details and, where possible, photographic evidence.
All damage claims must be submitted via email to ensure a clear written record.
Once reported, Maid in the UK Ltd will acknowledge the claim and aim to provide a decision within 7 working days.
Failure to provide requested information within 48 hours of the initial request may limit our ability to investigate the claim.
ASSESSMENT OF CLAIMS
We are not responsible for:
• Pre-existing damage or wear and tear
• Faulty or defective items
• Damage resulting from incorrect instructions
• Items requiring specialist care where not disclosed
• Outcomes consistent with normal cleaning processes
Where appropriate, we may request proof of purchase or ownership to support the claim.
RESOLUTION & COMPENSATION
Maid in the UK Ltd will assess each claim individually and may offer one of the following:
• Repair of the item
• Contribution towards replacement
• Service credit
• Insurance claim (where applicable)
Any compensation offered will take into account depreciation, age, and condition of the item.
Typical depreciation guidelines may include:
• Electronics: up to 20% annual depreciation
• Clothing and soft furnishings: up to 33% annual depreciation
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
For minor claims, Maid in the UK Ltd may offer a goodwill contribution or service credit.
Where appropriate, claims may be referred to our insurance provider. In such cases, policy terms apply, including any applicable excess.
INSURANCE CLAIMS
Where a claim is escalated to insurance:
• The client may be responsible for the policy excess
• The claim will be handled in accordance with the insurer’s process
• Maid in the UK Ltd will support coordination where possible
FINAL DECISION
All decisions are made based on the information provided and our internal assessment.
Maid in the UK Ltd reserves the right to determine the most appropriate resolution in each case.
